Do i have to put baby's daddy on birth certificate in order to get food stamps?

im 7 months pregnant i broke up with my boyfriend because he started doing pills and he got arrested for public drunkenness.i really don't want that in my daughters life.i get wic and food stamps,i wouldn't be able to eat if i did not have them.so does welfare require a father on the birth certificate?
