I need your help! I am trying to find out the name of a movie. This movie is an old black and whit movie. Help?

The only thing I can remember about this movie is a man kidnapped a young lady and kept her in a basement. He would go out and lock her in. Well one day she decided to try to escape from him. She had on a pair of spiked high heels so one day she took the heel and hit him in his eye. Putting out his eye. At that time she could escape I think she did leave but ending up coming back to help him. In the end she fell in love with this guy. Someone in their early to mid 50's might remember this movie. I was thinking it might be an Alfred Hitch movie but I can't find the one that I am talking about. I have asked others about the movie and they do know what movie that I am asking about but do not know the name of the movie. This is driving me nuts. Please help me if you can any leads will be helpful.
