Honestly it appears your question is somewhat biased, conception by definition is when a sperm and an egg have successfully been fertilized together. So...a beard-stroker I would not call this question, merely a misunderstanding of a particular definition. As the zygote successfully implanting in the womb is only detectable after the woman has shown herself to be pregnant, the rest of it is simply not within our hands. Per this information it really doesn't matter, it is information and decisions best led to nature and it taking it's course.
