How often can the non custodial step parent call?

i just got custody of my daughter, she was removed from her father and now step mothers house because they got into trouble with drugs and weren't taking care of her, her younger sister, and the wife's three kids. She calls all the time, and i understand and agree with keeping in contact, but she has her call me "momma bonnie" and the fact that she calls and texts making sure that my daughter is "safe" and being taken care of. They know she is safe and even when she is visiting other family they call and text over and over, and bug me about visitation on my weekends not just their weekends. What are or should the guidlines be for phone calls during the week and on the weekends that I have her for the weekend
